WELLLLLL DANG! This wedding was quite the way to kick off my 2022. Nothing says HELLLOOOOO new year like a gorgeous Malibu wedding on new years day!!! I was FREAKING OUT all day long capturing one gorgeous shot after another. I can’t even pick a favorite moment from this day if I TRIED! Libby looking like an absolute QUEEN in her Galia Lahav gown…. WOOOOOW. Coleman looking sharp with his groomsmen strutting into the venue… WOAH! Libby and Coleman’s ceremony kiss overlooking mountains in the distance…. HOLY COW! Don’t get me started on their sunset photos… *jaw dropped*. This day was just INCREDIBLE.
Now what’s funny is there was one thing that remained consistent from Libby and Coleman’s engagement shoot and wedding day… THE STRONG WINDS. Could’ve gone without those crazy gusts but that didn’t stop these two + their wedding party from looking spectacular :D OH AND the entire week leading up to this wedding, it was RAINING in the Malibu area. I heard from locals that the city was suffering from a drought for a while and rain had been scarcely seen. Everyone was relieved to see some rain… meanwhile I was like YOOOO can we not mama nature hahahah leave leave leave come again another day!!!! But hey… those prayers were answered and mama nature was certainly on our side for their big day. I mean seriously… a golden hour that juicy?! My soul was needing that.
One of my photographer friends saw previews from this wedding day and made the comment, “this is the wedding that I always imagined when I listened to the song Love Story by Taylor Swift.” :O. OKAY but now that I’ve heard that comment… I cannot envision anything different. This wedding encompassed every dreamy, romantic, beautiful, intimate wedding day anyone could EVER dream for. Libby, you looked straight out of a magazine and EVERYONE was in awe of how beautiful you looked walking down that aisle. Your makeup, hair, gown, everything was jaw dropping. Behind your back i would always say how beautiful I think you are, both outwardly and inwardly. Then we have Coleman… a true gentleman. The way you treated Libby all day long, the way you shared your appreciation for all those who came out for you two, everything, was just beautiful to witness and document. While you had nothing short of a perfect wedding day, I love how you both made an effort to take it all in all day long. Might I add… this crew – wedding party AND family – was one I thoroughly enjoyed spending my day with.
