The Lindquist Wedding

I HAD BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO KYM AND COLIN’S WEDDING SINCE THE DAY I SHOT THEIR ENGAGEMENT SESSION. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THESE TWO. EVERYTHING. I AM WRITING IN ALL CAPS TO EMPHASIZE MY LOVE FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where do I even start? Okay lets back up… I met up with Kym a year prior at Applebees (so random) for a first consult to chat about her wedding day vision/my work, etc etc. We sat there and talked for so long… I literally remember them basically kicking us out because they were closing. After they booked me for their wedding/engagement, we chatted about what they want to do for an engagement session. I’m not sure why/how we came to this idea but somehow we thought HOW DOPE would it be to do a shoot on a BOAT. Kym and Colin being the adventurous and “down to do whatever” kinda couple, and me being the “I gotta bring this idea to life” kinda gal, MADE THIS VISION HAPPEN. Lets just say it was epic. BEYOND epic. A sunrise engagement shoot on a sailboat. To this day, their shoot is one of my all-time favorites. I included a few pics below:

OKAY SORRY BACK TO THE LINDQUIST WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!! Holy freaking moly…. their wedding day was absolutely perfection. The day started and ended at Bavaria Downs, one of my FAVORITE VENUES IN MINNESOTA. Everything about this space is gorgeous and picture-perfect. I looooved photographing the girls getting ready. Holy smokes show… these girls are freaking models, I swear. At one point, the wedding party and family had to run out for a day-of ceremony rehearsal. Everyone had to go except for the bride. So, with extra time on our hands, obviously the reasonable decision was to do an impromptu shoot with Kym. I mean look at her, how could we not?? So with champagne in one hand, bling bling showed off on her other hand, I told her to pose like the QUEEN that she was that day on the sofa. Yup. Best pics ever. Frame those right now plzzz.

Lets talk FIRST LOOKS. First looks with girlfriends? Adorable. First look with dad? Goosebumps. First look with the hubby? I WAS CRYING. The shot of Colin first looking back, holding his knees, screams “WOWZA is that MY WIFE?” Yes Colin, yes… that is your wifey. What a HOT couple.

Moving on… what a HOT wedding party too… and FUN! If you can’t tell from the wedding party photos, it was a freaking BLAST doing all those prompts. My favorite was definitely the champagne popping (that ended up being my website’s cover photo!!!!)

Okay… their ceremony vows were BEAUTIFUL. I wish I could paste a recording of it onto this blog post. Their vows were so personal, beautiful, genuine, tear-jerking, funny, just… raw. Along with all the guests, I was trying to hold back all the sniffing and crying. So perfect. The rest of their night was the same. I loved every single aspect of this wedding. I cannot wait to watch Kym and Colin’s marriage and future grow. I’ll be over here cheering you guys on… I love you both!!!!!!
