I feel like everyone who knows the Dzurik’s has some crazy random story of how they actually met them. Here’s MINE: back in 2018… my friends Ben and Sam Brodsky invited me LAST MINUTE to a Gatsby-themed Christmas party… I WENT!!! And it was hosted by Ben and Alex Dzurik!!! Little did I know these two are THEEEE most social and welcoming people ON THIS PLANET. It was then that I met Melanie and Ben and simply ADORED them. These guys love to host, entertain, bring people together… and what’s THE ultimate partaaay? A WEDDING!!!! But the best part of this wedding was they finally got the chance to enjoy BEING CELEBRATED. This day was incredible… INCREDIBLE. It was a PARTY to say the least but it was a day filled with so much love and joy.
I can say, without hesitation, that Melanie and Ben are one of my favorite couples ever ever EVER!!! They have a relationship that is intentional, FUN, goofy, kind, considerate, and just unique. They are both individually impressive people that anyone can look up to… but them as a couple… that’s a relationship everyone can be inspired by. Melanie’s maid of honor, Rachel, said this in her speech and I think anyone that knows these two can agree… if you have seen Melanie and Ben, they make you believe that true love really does exist. Super cheesy… but it’s true. Their love is my favorite kinda love.
Melanie is a planner and has killer style. Ben is a considerate host and entertainer. They’re both fun souls. I had no doubt that their wedding would be equal parts aesthetic and a PARTY. I was right ;) Melanie got ready at their home while Ben got ready at his twin brother’s home… a block down! Their ceremony and reception took place at The Whim in Minneapolis, MN. This venue is a perfect mix of modern and industrial. With the design and direction of their planner, Style Architects, and florist, Sadie’s Floral, the space came to life for them! It was time for Melanie and Ben to have their first look when Ben decided to have some fun on his wedding day and set up Melanie with his identical twin brother, Alex, for a FAKE first look. Oh man, we got a big laugh from this. Melanie goes “oh good thing this happened now I thought you were going to punk me at the alter!” Check out the reel here… gold! Lol. Ben had one more surprise for Melanie… this one was incredibly unique and considerate. Ben called me a week prior to their wedding to let me know that he plans on doing a surprise recreation of a wedding photo from Melanie’s parent’s wedding. During the recessional, as they walk back up the aisle, he would grab a pair of clown glasses. Silly and random, but it was an ICONIC photo from Melanie’s parent’s wedding and Ben thought to keep that tradition going! Well, it happened. Melanie loved it, her parents loved it, and 15+ MILLION others loved it… no, LITERALLY!!! I created a tiktok/reel on this and it BLEW. UP. It has 15,000,000+ views… 226,000+ likes, 10,000+ saves. As this post blew up, so did me and Melanie’s text convos getting a laugh out of this whole thing.
Case in point. Melanie and Ben’s day was equal parts of everything you’d want a wedding day to be: aesthetic, unique to them, memorable, and a PARTY!
