From there, we made our way to Lafayette Club for portraits—an intentional choice that brought in one of their favorite elements from their original space: its timeless architecture and refined, classic design. Their ceremony took place at their family church—a deeply sentimental, faith-centered moment that grounded everything. Emotional, meaningful, and filled with presence… the kind of ceremony that reminds you what truly matters 🥹
From there, the celebration returned to Calhoun Beach Club, where Mikaela’s vision fully came to life. The reception space became the perfect canvas for her design, especially through the floral work of Diana of Reverie Floral Design. Each element was thoughtfully adapted from one part of the day to the next—cohesive, elevated, and completely transformative. The kind of design that doesn’t just fill a space, but redefines it. Mikaela trusted Diana with her vision but also her execution in lieu of the change of space. It couldn’t have been more exquisite!
As the evening unfolded, heartfelt speeches brought waves of laughter, emotion, and those candid, blink-and-you-miss-it reactions from friends and family—moments that felt just as impactful as anything else throughout the day.
